Raja Yoga refers to the "eightfold path" that leads to spiritual liberation. Ancient Sanskrit texts describe Raja Yoga as being the ultimate goal of Yoga practice, rather than the physical and mental exercises involved. Power yoga is a very vigorous type of yoga that methodically synchronizes the breath and gaze through a sequence of postures. Power yoga produces a strong internal heat that detoxifies both muscles and organs for improved circulation, flexibility, a strong body, and a calm mind to accompany it.
Yin yoga is a slower style of modern yoga. Each postures or asana, is held for a longer period of time, anywhere from 45 seconds to five minutes or more. This allows the practitioner to soften the mind and the body, connecting these two in harmony.
